I do not own this edition but the immediately preceding. the difference lies in the 1.5 cm more in height compared to the New Essentials Essentials. But the content, illustrations and the number of pages are identical. It is a beautiful book. A simple way to be found there and therefore accessible to the vast majority of both Testaments readers explained and illustrated by artists who were inspired over time. This visual story broadly follows the translation of St. Jerome, which contains books such as Tobit, called deuterocanonical, rejected by the majority of Jews and by the Protestants. But it is not very important to me, the key is to have a simple text and that easily holds. To be in the chronology, the book contains pages that are not a priori from the biblical texts, like the history of Judea between Ashmonéens (French / Hebrew more known for Macchabim) and the dynasty Herod put on the throne of Judea and Galilee as a puppet by the Romans, after the conquest of the region by Pompey. It is a beautiful book that goes beyond the extension, while remaining very explanatory as I said above. Do not deprive yourself of a very beautiful book compact and very informative, at a moderate price, which makes it even better.
