It measures as any other Bioimpendanz balances the weight and resistance of the current which is passed through the body. (4-point measurement in this case)
From these two values the Körpferfettanteil, muscle mass, water balance is then to a standardized "table", etc. is calculated.
These tables are based on "experience" of tests which have been carried out with many people.
My basal metabolic rate at this level is about 1.950kcal and at the Tanita scales from my gym is located
This was just over 2.200kcal. So much for the different calculation models, just who to believe?
Problem here is most accurately these scales are only if "Average" is. When operating more sports than others is one no longer average because more muscle and so on the on the homepage of Tanita
leading manufacturers such scales is drawn to this issue. (Only those are to me far too expensive)
The new generation of scales from Tanita therefore have a "sports mode". Write if you have a resting heart rate of less than 60 and at least 15 hrs. The sport operates week, then you can use this mode. For bodybuilders this mode but then does not hold back, as these again have a completely different body composition.
These get worse values displayed!
So do not be disappointed if you get frustrating displayed values, then you have to ask the question whether it meets the standard itself once! ;-)
Also please note: When I measure myself best? Preferably in the evening before dinner, because the morning the water in the body is not evenly distributed, it leads to incorrect results.
Otherwise, the weight is shown very precisely, the operation is very simple (without manual programmable)
90 days recording of values and it is very high quality!
Recommended for the average person, all others must feel with your hand if the abdominal crease has become smaller! ;-)
4-stars, because I find it a pity that you will not be notified of this problem and is thus has too high expectations of such products.
