I have now collected exactly one month and have the following experience with my HP notebook:
As I unpacked it I was already impressed by the design. The mostly matte case is nice to look at, looks well made, the weight of the notebook is approximately 2.5kg pleasantly light and makes it a good companion. Very important for me was the matte screen because I find it quite uncomfortable if annoying background lights are reflected.
The FreeDOS what is already on the notebook is actually uninteresant for me. I first tried to install WinXP, then what was possible after several attempts and changes in the BIOS.
Under XP the notebook is really running quickly and reliably. The boot time is super fast, the programs run smoothly, as I have just presented to me. :)
I must say that I bought the notebook is not for gaming or video editing, but mainly to surf the Web via Wi-Fi and look for occasional films.
The fan, which was already often criticized, I feel a little disturbing.
In boats it is quite noisy, but after that it is bearable. Even if I run video he is the greatest time pretty quiet and hardly bothers me to not at all. While the video is running so well sound, what the fan then one way or drowned.
My only small problem is the battery life of which I am a little disappointed.
I have XP already going down on minimal, reduced eg Displayhelligekeit issued sound, etc., have only the most essential programs running on, and in spite of only a max. Battery Luafzeit of about 2 to 2 1/2 hours (at specified 4 hours. According to HP). Even with additional tools that will extend the battery life by adjusting the processor clock, I just came on a little longer duration.
Conclusion:
All in all, the notebook still has 4 v. Deserves 5 stars because the speed and the appearance is certainly not easy to find and believe in this Preisneveau often. With the HP Cashback (What I have not yet received) is the price / performance ratio unbeatable.
Much love,
your Marcel
