1. DVD File Playback
The upsampling DVD resolution to 1080p / 50Hz not particularly successful TrekStor. It cuts here generally about 8 rows from the top of the screen and the upscaling (with Peter Finzel test DVD and some films tested) caused artifacts, which cause serious blurring. This spoiled an already movie enjoyment. If one turns the image format to 576p and scaling leaves the TV, it already looks better. The de-interlacing is good and stable at critical scenes.
2. BD-File Playback
The problem that films 23,976 and not 24 frames per second have, I was not previously aware. TrekStor has here a weakness, which manifests itself in a little jolting about every 40sec. Sometimes hook picture and sound in some places, but what I can not be clearly attributed to the Trekstor.
3. Internet access to libraries
Here one notices clearly the interpretation to foreign suppliers. While there is the menu item "International" also hits on 3Sat, ZDF and other media libraries, the files have usually had only podcast resolution of 480x272 pixels, the picture and sound also run at all internet streams asynchronously.
The unit will react relatively sensitive when pressed around times too fast on the remote control. Particularly on the Internet operating it came very often to a complete standstill, which only helped pulling the power supply plug.
That might scare my description so negative, but if you should find that this points to a not so important, then the purchase is probably in order. For me it is clear that the TrekStor TV Although a good user interface and has many interesting features that do not meet the practical operation but his partially unstable software and image quality expectations.
