The performance of the 2010 version much has been done. My system runs much better compared to the previous versions, but still not 100% satisfactory. I have also observed that just when installing new virus signatures my system slowed down for a short period to 100%. That is also visible in the new user interface, where there is now a CPU load display. For system and then GData is 100%. The 100% load on my system takes about 10 seconds.
The virus check now runs significantly faster. On my system 1 scan about 47 minutes 2 scan about 6 minutes with a 100 GB hard drive. However, if the virus signatures are updated, a virus scan takes again getting longer, on my system about 25 minutes. The period between the two virus scan was 6 days in this case.
I have to say the following support: The support email is good to very good. A response to inquiries is obtained usually within 1 to 3 days. The telephone support has unfortunately deteriorated in recent years. The accessibility by telephone during the day very poor, you have to take very long waits on himself. The service number has been changed and is now more expensive, and now costs 14 cents per minute rather than previously about 4 cents per minute. Up to about October 2008 was so that only charges apply when you were really only connected to a support engineer. This is now, unfortunately, different. Fees are now also during the waiting period.
