My first attempt was unsuccessful, probably because of a false move on my part. Several other commentators have failed in their attempts, demonstrating that Striiv has not made an effort sufficient explanation.
To succeed I connected the strap into a USB port, and from the smartphone I went in the Samsung Store to download the application "Striiv Activity Tracker". Of course if your device is an Apple you have to go in the "App Store", and if your machine operates on Android without being a Samsung, arguably is it better to go to "Google Play". Once Striiv application on the smartphone, the steps are connected without major difficulty, to the final pairing.
The Touch perfectly provides basic services such as the time display, and SMS notifications sent from the agenda; and it vibrates when a call on the smartphone. The data do not appear perpendicular to the strap (look at Amazon pictures to understand what I mean), so the bracelet is not consulted as one would with a watch; ergonomically it's not ideal.
Other features (sleep, activity) work correctly, and the smartphone interface is very clear.
The Touch has a battery dau least 5 days. To reload must slide in a little box with USB cable dun very short. It is binding, but it is perhaps through this that this bracelet devoid dune classic jack is waterproof to water.
The Touch is especially elegant and can replace a watch, but the bracelet, which must be cut to size, is proving difficult to close. I also regret that the time display is not permanent: you have every time "wake up" the Touch wrist shaking or tapping the screen to get a display that will be visible only a fraction of second.
This product is not cheap, so carefully read its description to find out what it can do for you, leaving it to you to decide if it is worth it. As an individual I really like to be informed of a call when my phone is lost at the bottom of a bag or when I cross a noisy place.

PS: I wrote Striiv of customer service by telling them that they still had work to do to the attention of French customers. My interlocutor thanked me and assured me he passed my findings and suggestions to the development team Striiv. Since Striiv posts on its site, but on a very visible page, the following message:

It is essential that your smartphone has Bluetooth protocol 4.0 or higher to be able to connect your Striiv Touch.
