Who wants to look at Carcassonne, its variants and extensions properly, has to take a little smart (er). In addition I have written down my experiences here and hope they are making a purchase, but at least a little to clarify the Verwirrspiels, useful. The second extension (at issue here) is an extension of the classic Carcassonne game in blue carton. It contains 24 new land tiles (20 stores symbol), 20 goods tiles, 12 new followers in 6 colors (one pig and a builder) and a pretty blue cloth bag. My opinion on this and the other enhancements: ================================================== ==== The first extension provides some new game-chip (and the extension males for 6 players), but is not absolutely necessary when traveling with up to max. Wants to play 5 persons. With 6 players the game is very short, if "only" playing with the first enlargement! If you, however, to more in depth experience from which additional platelets the first enlargement are already a must. And for fans of the game anyway ... (The first extension is not offered here on Amazon at the moment; in well-stocked toy stores but I have recently seen this extension!) Particularly important in my opinion is the 2nd expansion -> "dealers and builders." Thus, it will be a bit more complicated and tricky. But also makes all the more fun and you need more playing surface. The (earned) goods platelets are counted only at the end of the game. Paths on which (with the new card) is an inn count twice, but only if they have been completed. There are interesting new tactics and even the builder can one help during the game more points to grab. I believe this extension for Interessantese and no longer want to miss it. In the 2nd extension also a blue cloth bag is in that you can do all Spie platelets to them "completely" blind draw ... looks nice, makes sense. The extension "King and scout" is not exactly the rage, because it comes into play only at the end of the game and one insane must be careful who built the biggest castle, or the longest road. Let's play with this expansion rarely, if ever. The expansion "The River" to my knowledge was only an appendage of the PC game Varainte (on CD) of Koch Media. Really I can not recommend this extension. It is not really necessary; perhaps only if one but has a larger play area, a few more cards and a slightly longer Spieldaue from. But this is nothing and you have to keep the few cards always good separately and "build" in the beginning especially tricky. The extension "Count of Carcassonne" offers new possibilities neat to pull his teammates on the table. The few new cards with the new "Counts of Carcassonne" are not absolutely necessary and useful only for die-hard fans. The new cards are laid out at the beginning of the game and complicate the rules really powerful. In addition, this extension does not make sense, if you like to start with "the river". A combination of the extensions "The River" and "The Count of Carcassonne" make no sense. I personalize it managed to get the base game and the first and second extension to the original carton, you have to be Inlet for the purpose bend it just a little, the game tiles always in the sack of the 2nd extension and the other cards good together sort by game end; the "raw material cards" and the "colorful males" give back to the appropriate plastic bags. Then the game is quickly rebuilt and with all extensions can be too far once and a half hours while sitting. The few cards for the expansion "The River" and "The Count of Carcassonne" I think the way always nice separated because we rarely play with these extensions. But anyone who still has doubts that extension and that Carcassonne game as with the other related, is to quietly look around a bit and read. I can recommend the 2nd extension "dealers and builders' definitely.
