Well written and argued. Pierre Rabhi exposes us all the drifts, paradoxes and nuisance of our consumerist society in disregard of the intrinsic values that must defend humanity "conscious": respect for the Earth, the right to food for all. The author advocates "agro-ecology" which, far from exhausting the soil, regenerates and thus ensures the security of our food heritage to pass on to future generations. the challenge is to break free of the "ogre" of food for local and healthier production and so end the unbridled consumption imposed upon us. A book to recommend to all those who want to return to a simpler life and ..... SOBER!
