Five years after its very successful prank the country's concept album, our national dandy abandons the excellent Pierre-Dominique Burgaud and Jean-Philippe Verdin to find his accomplice and songwriter Jacques Duvall (the Enemy in the Ice, Lili Shanghai). Together, they deliver an album of great quality which opens to the already known "Blue Two Daggers", swung some time ago in promo, title that would not offsuit in portfolio Le Plaisir. Follows the subtle Ensemble, whose music reminds me the most of Serge Gainsbourg, my favorite track on this album: it is just perfect. Two lighter tracks succeeded him, whose hopping Joy, available in video, around a theme dear to the latest Chamfort: his age. Then come the beautiful music of Argentina, then Delermien "People die." If "combination of circumstances" and "Never I love you" seem more anecdotal - especially the former -l'attention is relaunched with "Can I offer you," then by the excellent duo Alain Chamfort / Charlotte Rampling, who is trying to dialogue so Higelin / Fontaine ("This child that I made you"). "The Devil is a Blonde" concludes this album very nicely. You'll understand: the last Chamfort, despite its average pocket (! The picture is not bad, but it looks like a work bag and not a finished work - what a strange idea) is ESSENTIAL and is worth more than its price . The velvety voice is raised, the texts are fine, the multifaceted music, dance or stunning (Argentina). ALAIN CHAMFORT album is a worthy successor of A Life St Laurent, maybe even better! End, ironic, light, singer Alain Chamfort appropriated discreetly in any distinction, a square, a style, an identity in French music, its place, and delivered us once more a labor of goldsmith to listen without moderation.
