The Soft Parade is the most outstanding plate of Doors for me. In addition to the well-known song "Touch Me" can be found no further known Doors pieces on this album. And that's what distinguishes this CD, because there occur untypical styles. So the song "Runnin is' Blue 'an ode to Otis Redding and his song" Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bay "with Country inlay. The fascinating song "Wild Child" may indeed sound a bit weird at first, but quickly turns out to be a real ear worm. Another outstanding feature is the "Easy Ride" song that creates on its playful country blues style a distinctive sound. And as icing on the cake there's still the song "The Soft Parade", which lived through several metamorphoses within its 8:36 minutes and finally experienced in his trance-like state its climax ... I say only: "A cobra on my left; Leopard on My Right ".
