MacSorley Erik is the epitome of smart and sexy viking, but do not be mistaken, it is a true highlander. He has no equal sent forth to challenge the elements at sea, at the helm of a ship or swim, and conquer all the ladies fell in love with her blond. It is on a secret mission to Robert, to whom he must bring new recruits under the nose and beard of the English. Thus he literally fished Elyne Burgh, daughter of a powerful English noble king ally but which poses as a nanny to those she thinks of pirates.
There is a lot of action in this second volume, many adventures, danger, adventure takes us from one end to the other of the story and to our delight. The relationship that develops between Erik and Elyne is moving, footprint chicanery since they both hide their identity, to seek, to disturb, bicker. The young woman did not let count, she has not had a golden childhood that forged his character, she is strong and determined, the more she resists him more he seeks to conquer. But she is promised to another, and he has a cause to serve.
So it is a much more exciting sequel, more intense that comes here, probably because the couple seems more engaging, we vibrate in tune with their emotions, but we must admit that the author's pen is majestic as it floats with ease on this historical period so complex, she is very good at encouraging us to stamping impatiently until the next volume to be devoted to Arthur Campbell Ranger "the look", scheduled for 21 August.
