First of all: There are some versions, for example, the normal soundtrack version (CD) and the Deluxe Edition (two CD's) and both in English or German, but because Amazon.com has rolled here too many reviews together, you should previously always exactly see which version you want, and finally bought.
The basic version of Soundtrack: Here we get first all nine songs (plus the final version of Let It Go) of the film donated and of course it is no secret that these represent the highlight of the film for many. And since I can also agree to a large extent, really all the songs are catchy and that's very rare. As you notice the work of Lopez-pair, these catchy songs, full of energy, passion and with this typical musical flair. And of course, stands out on first hearing the wonderful Let It Go. Sung by Elsa (Idina Menzel) and certainly one of the new masterpieces in Disney's career (the Oscar for this song was a must!). I simply recommend just as quickly to the song on youtube to listen, then the question of the purchase has been done for sure! The end credits version of Demi Lovato is also nice, but it is nothing like the original, terrific!
But one must not forget the other songs in no way, because they are also great. Frozen Heart is a beautiful entry from the men's choir, Do You Want To Bulid A Snowman is one of the emotional highlights, beautifully this scene combined with the music.
Then there are two more cheerful songs of For The First Time In Forever and Love Is An Open Door, which beautifully show the character of Anna and go back directly into the ear. In Summer is applied very cheerful and makes a delightfully Olaf, naive and charming minor character. And then Fixer Upper, the rhythmic Troll Song.
All voices are really gorgeous to listen, and the German voices convince (in the German version), especially Hape Kerkeling as Olaf works great. Unfortunately, always change the German voices between singing and the actual voice actors (except Kerkeling, who himself sings). That's a pity, especially in film ...
This is followed by Christoph Beck's score, consisting of 22 pieces. He created many modifications and variations of the main topics that will be presented in the songs that are included in the really nice score. This shines especially in the choral passages that have an African theme, very interesting. Here I recommend especially Vuelie (the opener)!
Total Beck's score goes on first hearing, unfortunately, a little below in addition to the songs, which is but because the songs are so good. Nevertheless, Beck's music is also very good, if you listen carefully. Especially the dramatic, faster pieces like Wolves, Royal Pursuit or the final Whiteout. With multiple By listening you will certainly remember the strength of the scores.
Deluxe Edition: Here we get offered a second next to the soundtrack CD. And I can highly recommend this, because you not only get the full score of Christoph Beck offered, but also karaoke versions of the songs and especially the unused songs of Lopez's two. And they are really bad at times and really great for me, when I think about it, that this would work very well in the film (for example, Spring Pageant!).
The playing time for the CD's: CD 1 (70 minutes), CD 2 (60 minutes).
Conclusion: For the hardcore fans so I definitely recommend the deluxe edition. The complete soundtrack, plus unused material what you want as a film music lovers more? Otherwise Frozen is as normal a wonderful Disney Soundtrack music composition, which you should not miss. This soundtrack is simply cool!
