After the profound and understandable 3 stars criticism of Robert I like barely Cheering, do it but gladly forgive + 5 Stars. Not only out of blind fans Following stem ;-) With this album, the show in the usual for me Oysters form. Fast (ie in principle rather midtempo) songs alternate with rather worn, slow + anthemic (the violin does wonderful themes) Folksongs in the usual Oyster quality. This quality relates to me on craftsmanship, clear transparent + production - acting more miracles under a headset. Exciting was the question of whether after the change on drums (Dil Davis drumming since the last album with June Tabor) now Choppers outlet can be coped with for me. I think yes. Al Scott longtime producer of the band stepped in and is listed as a full member. The band acts over the years and for me quiet - which gives way to the front pressing activity of a band, well how should I say, abgeklärterem "have" game. I want a band that carries decades the flag of honesty and clear message + Power live performances in front of him, not criticize (as long as it sounds so beautiful and intrinsically ;-) I miss texts with social relevance - but what shalls having Oysters also as already done enough. How many folkies they sing just friendship, past dreams and the simple life. For me, these are 44 minutes treat for ears and soul + There are 5 star. Oh yes, I do now sit sometimes quite like ;-) + the album is recorded in the studio of the Levellers - the rock-Folken quite kräftig.Eine line of text from Spirit of dust leads the way for the coming years: "together on a journey that knows no end. " Hopefully it will take a little ;-) PS A little advertising for last: One can this wonderful album with the Oysterband directly order + simultaneously or supplement the order with solo albums by Alan Prosser. The band deserves support.
