This CD presents Beth Rowley rearranged Gospels, songs that are reminiscent of country music and those with a catchy Happy Sound. In its best passages it spreads the flair of the American South. How to Create "One cloud" or "When the rains came" very subtle the atmosphere of a sultry day thunderstorm somewhere in the southern US. The interaction of Rowley's beautiful voice with gospel choirs is appealing. In addition to these successful songs, there are also some that act though sympathetic, but very good and almost naive. Overall, a CD to relax, though sometimes without much depth. Beth Rowley clear, behave intoning, but powerful voice is always worth listening to.
