Why? Because Horner time from start to finish a perfect composition shows. "Titanic" was also a nice soundtrack, but in some places perhaps a little too pale ...
Horner remembers this time in a completely tranquil atmosphere, with soulful, beautiful and dominant themes. And all these issues have been stolen luckily for no predecessor and newly cobbled together.
The first is one of my favorites, which at the beginning of "A Kaleidoscope Of Mathematics" with the magical voice of Charlotte Church. Horner used her voice that neither childish nor sound produced for him, to give the music even more expression in which they rather served as an instrument.
The next topic is the actual main theme that will be sung at the end of Church ("All Love Can Be"). This song is actually the best, the Horner has ever done, because for the first time one of his songs is being served by the orchestra and is free of any kitsch and unnecessary synthesizer sounds. A beautiful piece. Finally, the menacing music, which purports to be Nash's schizophrenia. For the first time you hear it in "Nash Descends Into Parcher's World".
These three issues lead to the score and are always varied and newly welded together.
Overall, it creates Horner that all music has no length, although it sounds very right the first time. The special feature lies in the dynamism and the delicate composition. The composer never stays on a track, but still falls ever from the excessive or kitsch and composed luckily no unnecessary action sequences, but also creates it, even at faster points in the film, represent an unusual calm, with an undertone of danger ("The Car Chase ").
So come one 71 minutes before timeless and you will not come out of the Fasziantion.
James Horner has delivered with "A Beautiful Mind" one of his best scores. Maybe it was because he was very excited about the project. I, and probably many others are thrilled with this soundtrack. Recommended for all film music fanatic.
