This album is perfect. Nightwish will be needed the previous album to acclimatise to change singer, but here we are. The color of his voice fits perfectly with the music, and the music is still well composed, played, arranged. Maybe even better (orchestration in particular is still a notch above compared to previous albums). Tuomas made good use of some Celtic consonance of the voice of Anette, especially on I Want My Tears Back. We already had the right to Celtic on the previous with Last of The Wilds (beautiful), but without the voice. Here the symbiosis is perfect. There are over album atmospheres and different emotions, we travel, we discover. Fantasy, dream, terror, one is in a magical world that is what holds the album into a homogeneous whole. The film that goes along with the album is not bad either, and a good extension of the work. I also strongly advise solo album Tuomas (Life and Times of Scrooge), which is a close cousin in terms of sounds and atmosphere.
