Finally a book that puts things in place. What was later called the "crusades" actually covers very different things. This phenomenon is multifaceted and reports of a mentality that we became totally unknown. It contains everything and its opposite, the most selfless generosity to the wildest hardness. The time was not tender and the power relations were often the only conceivable relationships between actors of these human dramas. This book is far from the usual simplifications where the words "isms" believe explain everything. A strongly advise to all those who do not support that projects the current ways of thinking about the past.
