A book read during my adolescence, and that I liked. The idea: in a society more technologically advanced than our own, a disaster occurs, which causes all machines using electricity no longer work. There followed a collapse of the company, with scenes of looting and violence (one thinks of the blackout New York), and a large exodus of city dwellers into the countryside. Good, morality: the country life is good, the technique degrades man! is a bit clumsy, but apart from that the book reads well, the characters are engaging and all this is very nice.
