Now for the player:
Have him in combination with a 1.5TB HDD ordered by WD, via HDMI to my
Yamaha YHTS 400 and from there connected via HDMI to my SONY KDL 46W4730.
What can I say great ?! Each film is deposited with me in its own folder and the thumbnail mode, the film cover are so well behaved displayed. A button on the play button and you get a cinematic experience at its best !! Great, powerful sound and impressively sharp image.
Each format is played back at me: Be it a .mkv, a Divx, Xvid, or VIDEO_TS folder .. everything works perfectly without a murmur.
As a negative review I have only:
Who collects many series and this has previously played on the computer via XBMC or Plex, which will miss the luxury. You have to opt for a view mode, ie Thumbnail (Poaterview) or List, you therefore have to do without cover or in the series-folders to a list view. Either at the movies or the individual series Although to get over, but you would have done better.
Furthermore, it would have helped if you could change the soundtrack with a single button instead of this via Options -> Sound track .. Jaja bleating at a high level ...
CONCLUSION:
In conclusion, I would strongly recommend the WDTV HD Media Player any cineastes. Works reliably and quickly. Who wants to have more "luxury", just need a HTPC as Mac mini resort in combination with Plex etc..
