Regarding the game itself, in general, it's a good game ... but unfortunately it is not nearly as exceptional as could be "Arkham Asylum" and "Arkham City". Why? Simply because there is a lack of inspiration. In terms of gameplay, the formula has not changed much since Arkham City. There are additions at the gadgets, but that does not really transcend experience. Even fighting against bosses, was expected epic, clearly wanting in terms of staging.
The cold shower starts from the first quarter hour, with extremely bland and disappointing encounter with Killer Croc. He gave me a cold sweat in Arkham City, in a running session scary pursuit which did not leave the room for error. Here, a few strokes of the mandala and the dodo monster!
Fortunately other scenes are more successful as the meeting with Deathstroke, but is clearly below the sequences "shock" Arkham City (with the ingenious battle against Freeze or epic sequence against Ras'al Ghul.
Fortunately the game is fun to play because it is based on a formula that has proven itself. The open world of Arkham is extremely pleasant to go, on the eve of Christmas, and it is full of additional quests to complete. Batman is always as pleasant to handle and still effective in combat. And the challenge is present (with additional difficulty levels).
Note also that investigative sessions have been optimized, with a good staging and a good reconstitution of the sequence of crime. It's very driven but it's really trippy!
In short, if there is no "wow effect", there are no surprises. Those who expected a title in the continuity of the two other components developed by Rocksteady have what they wanted ... but without the spark of genius that had sublimated these two games.
