The device must be connected for the entire duration of the download process on the computer (although I find absolutely useless but who cares). A fat, fat MINUS point !! Especially since this also not a word is mentioned in the user manual (at least I have so far found nothing to it).
Now I gaubte knowing where the problems may originate during the download. Sometime's just the battery is empty and consequently the installation will fail. To me it is so delivered, that when downloading suddenly nothing more came and the device no longer read start - otherwise elicit no more reactions were. I tried all sorts of things. When I but already on the abandonment, and the device was then already on packing for returning even occurred to me that I had not yet tried. I shut the machine to load in my car to take some time and read.
The next time you attempt to start the machine, everything worked fine again. It was re-attached to my computer and continue the download process. War on the part of the software no problem, who worked just continue where was stopped. Thus, the process was terminated after some time. The Navi let himself wont start and has since been working as a matter of course with the new maps.
To download itself, I would like to say: the pure download time was on my net connection about 2 hours, the installation in Navi continue for approximately 45 min. I over the entire duration of the Downloads a rate of about 500 kB / s. Note: A significantly affect the download time has also the respective Web provider. Should significantly longer download times come about, maybe keep this with the provider consultation or check their own connection agreement.

Only the console mounting plate may get a little unhappy. Once the Navi caused at this a little rattling noise when driving through Fahrbahnholpsern.
