Unfortunately I can not recommend the Lenovo Ideapad U530. After I had exchanged the first model for processing defects (paint damage to the hinge), I took out the replacement and was again disappointed: there was at one corner a distracting scar. After I had again exchanged the replacement copy, I thought, finally get a perfect device, but I was wrong: The third Ultrabook indeed had neither scrapes nor paint damage, but the touchpad had too much play, so even with a slight (!) Press a real gap between the touch pad and laptop surface appeared.
That I caught a bad batch, I think is unlikely, since all three devices had small errors of various kinds.
The Ultrabook may be technically really well equipped (i7 processor, 256GB SSD and 8GB of RAM), but to me this good is very little, if you ever have to fret about workmanship.
Very unfortunate that Lenovo apparently schlampt here, because without processing defects would be the Lenovo Ideapad U520 for me a perfect Ultrabook for college and leisure. Maybe repaired the problem in future so, then I am also willing to buy the laptop.
