In itself, I was quite excited about this click closures. However, I went by the enthusiasm after I had mounted the first time in such a cake tin. It tasted somehow artificially-toxic and no longer good. At first I thought it would be on dishwashing detergent residue that might be left in a plastic box. I washed the thing with water, but the problem persisted. I was again in the dishwasher (because it I had the can well before using it). The problem continues.

Perhaps the error was also that I have given these things in the dishwasher - but according to the product one must.

actually lies with the dishwasher and perhaps our very environmentally friendly dishwashing detergent. There is obviously plastic containers which readily absorb these dishwashing taste. You get this taste then very difficult to get out. So please be careful with the dishes (wash by hand is in my experience not a problem).
