I hear since 2002 Linkin Park. Your early nu-metal, I have come to love and Meteora is one of my favorite albums, since good ballads and "harder" Tracks harmonize very well and come into their own. Reanimation I could abgewinnen something. Since Minutes to Midnight, but there are signs clearly what is at stake LP: mass compatibility, Radio serviceability and maximum media impact. With Recharged you have now made definitively clear that you explicitly produce what is currently listening to a lot of people, and that's just an operation of the receiver of excessive electro music / Dubstep. Linkin Park use a fad from here.
Mike wanted to make no more remix album, has to "the great result" of Recharged but to entschlossen.Ihre current adaptation to electro-dubstep hype I can understand just from a commercial perspective.
I listen to normal all new albums from front to back through, but after the first half minute of "Vicitimized" I had to pause for now. And, although I'm really very tolerant and adaptable when it comes Neukreaktionen and changes in the musical sense.
My preliminary conclusion is this really "good" Linkin Park? That you can not say so. Apparently there are people who could understand what of Dubstep and find their fulfillment here. But it is in places so very different from what she did 2002/2003 famous that it even Unlike as correct diehard fan. The plate moves in my collection, but certainly not often end up in my playlist. Sometimes you have an album so often listen to find pleasure in each track. I wonder if it will be this time again so. A few candidates have crept in, and lo and behold, there are those tracks that are not underlined with excessive use of dubstep elements.
But please, LP, happy your loyal fans with the next studio album in a way that serves not only electronic music fans. Change is all well and good, with the previous albums, it was still relatively okay, but this is an imposition of electric music.
PS: That reminds me of a little joke I read somewhere: Is there still the guitar, or have they Brad fired? ;-)
2 stars.
edit: Okay, with the remix album, it's more of a step aside as a forward. So from this electro album one should not infer the future style of LP.
