The Scarred People is no exception. With the new album the band poaches a little in her own past. The aforementioned Wildhoney shines through in much more modern form in some places. Every now and then you feel even the Sisters Of Mercy recalls, especially in "Thunder & Lightning" I had to see if this is not Andrew Eldritch has the vocals. In fact, the song but only Johan Edlund involved.
Otherwise Tiamat focus on what they do best. Without getting caught up in experiments shake Tiamat a saucoolen Gothic Metal song after another from the leather jacket. The opener and title track has failed so so distinctive that you can barely get it out of my head. "The Sun Also Rises" is very close to it to be the perfect gothic metal ballad. "Messinian Letter" has something anthemic, but pack Tiamat in "The Red Of The Morning Sun" a truckload more pathos it and shoot the Gothic Metal fan so finally the Gothic Metal Nirvana!
Toll!
