I was - as a reviewer ralour - also 4. The parallels are looking for a good case for my Nexus similar. In the absence of Otterbox there was only a low-case, then I found this of Ballistic and bought - not least because ralours compared to Otterbox - this case here. I protected before a Galaxy S I9000 with an Otterbox and knew about their qualities.
But now the case itself.
The soft case is sufficiently soft and clings well to the Nexus 4. The hard case is applied quickly and easily to the soft case. Composed Both parts hold the smartphone well in hand. It conveys at once the security from drops and bumps that seem to bear it well.
On the front, the edges are thick enough in a fall on the flat bottom or even an edge (which must of course be longer than the screen is wide / high) to protect the screen.
All cut-outs for camera, loudspeaker, connections, etc. are generous enough dimensioned so that there should be no problems with the connection of charging cables and headphones.
All keys can be pressed by the knotless Case incidentally. The pressure points are exemplary here!
Both parts of the case do not stink after chemistry and the feel is very comfortable and high quality.
As regards these points, an Otterbox users will be satisfied on the lookout for a good protection for its Nexus 4.
Some small things I have yet to complain.
The Hard Case takes only side from back to front to the smartphone. Above and below are no fingers. So even the corners are dependent in a fall on the protection of the soft case. At the corners of the Soft Case is fatter and beaded, a shock-absorbing effect but possibly not as good if, as here when the hardcover would be enough even with around (compared Otterbox for I9000).
For the price could have been quiet yet can be a good foil are enclosed. The Otterbox for my I9000 has then tasted good 5 less and even had two films in the package.
Furthermore, I agree again ralour and regret a lack of covers for the TRS and microUSB jacks.
Conclusion:
For the price you get a case of high quality materials, which it also feels. Some vulnerabilities has the case in my opinion yet and it would have at least one screen film can be supplied.
Who often in harsh environments is traveling (outdoor hobbies, professional on construction sites, assembly etc.), here are definitely a good protection for its Nexus. 4
I for one admit any case rather a few euros for a good place for Case a superfluous insurance from.
