As the title says, a 40W G9 halogen can replace this LED is not, but a 30 Watt is 1: 1 comparable. Thus, it becomes a little darker. The light is LED with 3000K slightly whiter than I thought 2700K would have been better. But well.
The LED is pulsed, ie no continuous illumination but a flicker. Who looks exactly in the lamp will recognize it (I, for example). When shooting you know it well, because it makes from time to images in which the LED is off.
