As I said, I personally can not detect any (negative) aging of the voice. You can of course be divided on the song selection. Only Englishman in New York and Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend I do not like anyway, these songs are apparently too much to Sting, or Marylin Monroe linked to suck as cover versions, added that the Duetpartnerin sings really creepy on Diamonds.
Classics such as, of course, Goldfinger, It Was A Very Good Year, Here's To Life or MacArthur Park and Wild Is The Wind are reproduced here terrific.
I particularly like We Got Music, which comes across and upbeat. Of this way, there is brilliant remixes of DarioG and 7th Heaven on an EP.
Why did I deducted a star? The others have mentioned here, unfortunately, unfortunately, the mix of the album is a bit dodgy. Shirley's voice has been strangely brought to the fore, such as if she were in a separate small shielded room and the band got himself booked. Better I can not describe it, you have to get an idea itself.
It's not so bad that it destroys the album is far, but it is a bit strange. It also does not come with all songs equally.
Especially the opener This Is What You Are but strongly suffers shame.
For Bassey fans this album is always a must and a wonderful addition to all the great music that Shirley Bassey has published in its incredibly long career.
But even for newer fans, this album is highly recommended. I myself am admittedly only since 1997, thanks to History Repeating fan of Shirley, or have them detected by the Propellerheads then, with me, of course, Shirley Bassey was already familiar with the Bond songs. As a teenager, I was just too young to Bassey really know before.
