So the fact is:
- This EeeBox has 2 RAM slots
- The maximum possible amount of RAM is 2GB, so per-slot 1GB RAM
- Dual Channel (more speed) is only supported with 2x 1GB
To install:
Opening the EeeBox is a little difficult / expensive before getting on the slots. But on the Internet
There are some after a long search for instructions. If the enclosure open, the exchange is quite simple. Existing 2x 512MB RAM modules out and the new Kingston RAM modules 2x 1GB pure. Assemble the housing back and reboot. In BIOS nothing needed to be changed. EeeBox boots as usual high, 2GB RAM is recognized by Windows XP.
What caused it?
A lot of that goes faster EeeBox high and work with Windows XP has become noticeably faster.
Conclusion:
Very strong buy recommendation. Proven quality Kingston. In the kit, the two 1GB RAM modules are perfect
matched.
