Before changing, I had first looked and tried the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition seems really a very good shelf (superb display too! Stylus + + + curbs smaller screen area 100% operated through physical buttons ) but I ended up going back to ASUS for the base / keyboard with USB and SD reader practice to see pictures from my camera in very good definition without having to transfer (and NTFS support that did not seem clear on the Samsung?).
The TF701 offers everything needed for a price lower than the previous versions (TF700 for example)!
-A Superb screen: the definition really brings a lot! It's obviously even better than TF700 (full HD). I do not understand people who say it is "marketing". A tablet is first a screen! and photo to the web really is much more enjoyable when you can not see the pixels!
-Best Performance: I did not notice slowdowns / blockages, Chrome is faster, the pages quickly decode. PDF also open quickly etc.
-best Transfers: writing reading files on the tablet / on a hard drive or an SD or micro SD card seems much faster: no more large exposures during large file transfers. It is not true that one can reach speed USB3 on a modern PC but it's good!
-Better Wifi reception (it was not very good on the TF201)
And the GPS works well (it also was missed on the TF201, at least my version)
Only the sound remains mediocre (but usually if I really want to enjoy the sound I connect headphones ... but then there is some audible artifacts related to the activity of the tablet ... not dramatic level of normal listening but it is not very good ... may be just a fault of my model?)
With this tablet and a hard disk, no need to take a PC even for long trips!
In short, very good tablet especially if you also want to use in netbook and / or media player.
