after long viewfinder for my problem, which was extremely dark picture every time, so I did not see anything that I'm almost desperate I've found the solution.
at the 17-55 mm lens from Nikon on the bayonet side a small, silver "lever" that controls the aperture. slide (to open the aperture) this just right and then fix. then you see what again and dealing with the retro adapter is fun again :)
