I have tested the remote control today with a Nikon 1 J. Will probably also support the 1V.

The remote is easy to use, press the trigger just a little buttons. You must first activate the remote shutter in the camera's menu (icon remote control), my camera offers as many choices, I do not like the Nikon Handles, will probably be the same for all cameras. The camera focuses automatically and then signaled by a green light that triggered the remote release.

Another accessory is a matching bag, which is good because the remote control is tiny. Do not know the original remote control, I think the only difference is the look and the price.
Works like the original.

Who can do without the Nikon logo is well advised here.
