I have this monitor Samsung Syncmaster T220 22-inch Widescreen LCD Monitor Rose Black DVI (Contrast 20,000: 1, 2ms response time) recently purchased (not with Amazon due to long lead time). Have also since 2 years a Samsung 226BW (now get sporadically as a discontinued model) and am of this still completely thrilled. I inquired in detail in the Internet and the result was that hardly a monitor in this price range are the come up to the T220. Perhaps a model of LG LG L227WTP-PF 22-inch LCD Monitor DVI (dyn contrast 30000:. 1, 2ms response time), which suits me but not so from the style. The T220 was designed and introduced even more beautiful than the 226BW and has in my opinion, contrary to this a more preferable color. Pixel errors in my model also absent. The factory setting in terms of brightness and contrast must be reduced in any case for normal PC applications and games. For me, the brightness setting has proven to 40% and Contrast to 70% as optimal. The monitor is definitely a strong buy recommendation. The only small criticism would be the slight halos at the top and bottom of the screen in a dark Bilschirm and the narrow edge of the reflective glossy frame right on the scene. I want to warn in this column do not relate to the T220 but on other equipment prior reviews !!! The T220HD for example, are visually identical but technically a completely different monitor. This is a combination of LCD-TV (analog + DVB-T tuner built-in) and PC monitor. He has a slower response speed (5ms 2ms over the T220) and is for gamers therefore less advisable. In addition, the T220HD is said to have an input lag problem. Likewise, you will find here reviews the T240 model. Keep your eyes peeled on the monitor purchase.
