Remixed & Revisited (Audio CD)

Customer Review

It's not necessarily a good sign when the less than a year old album "American Life" must be already reborn as EP, but then it's a smart move to bring erstgenanntes back in the charts (what would it really deserves).
And that could succeed: "Remixed & Revisited" brings together some of the best album tracks in a new guise. Surprisingly this is especially the musical direction that goes this time away from the dance / house style, to rock.
From "Nothing Fails" an uptempo song is made, which has nothing to do with his newly-established guitar riffs so with the relatively quiet until gospeligen original.
Also "Love Profusion" undergoes a metamorphosis from sugary pop song "quasi-Hard Rock".
What, however, still holds in the first 2 tracks within limits, is finally maxed out in "American Life" that really gets an entirely new heavy metal feel and a much stronger catchy. How do I find the preliminary highlight of the EP.
"Nobody Knows Me" heralds the 80's-retro part, which continues in the brilliant live performance of "Like A Virgin" at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, and a new remix of Madonna's classic "Into The Groove" , Who knows Madonna, of course, knows that it does not simply as their old stuff to unpack again, no, the reference to the present must be found, and so the two 80's classics are mixed with the new "Hollywood".
The conclusion is "Your Honesty", a leftover from the album "Bedtime Stories". Musically very catchy mainstream pop and therefore not so interesting, but after a previously unreleased track, which can forgive this shortcoming.
Conclusion: "Remixes & Revisited" is - as always - a must for the die-hard fan, but also a cost-effective incentive on a detour into the "American Life" album reinzuschnuppern which despite poor publicity and even selling one of the best albums of the late year is.
