Since the early days of the three question marks, there is a standard scheme for crime Radio plays with young protagonists: A wants something from B, but instead of him buy out to steal or to rob, he organized a seemingly supernatural Budenzauber to in this way the object of desire to bring in. The plot starts promising in the smuggler tunnels Point Whitmarks where the amateur reporter Jay, Tom and Derek address the question of why lately so many rats mischief in the underground of the city. The claustrophobic atmosphere is credible, set inside the shadowy tunnel affectionately in scene. And then the story takes a strange turn in one fell swoop: Two boys strikes it in a villa that seems to come from 1001 nights and is connected to the tunnel system. You have to deal with an Arab economic Mogul clichéd shown, with seemingly magical desert sand and a mysterious curse that weighs on an imported Iraqi tomb. Of course, everything in the end finds its rational explanation, but the declaration itself and the way there are so incredible and difficult to understand, that time after time has to rub the eyes. At the same time the impression one can not help thinking that you all - has heard countless times - albeit with different motives and sceneries: the superstitious victims, the criminals behind the scenes and the unbelieving horror of the young hero, expressed in the anxious question if they have not yet dealing with a bona fide ghost. Now all this would not be as dramatic (though not particularly well), if there had not also crept a few annoying shortcomings in the radio play that have nothing to do with the Holzschnittartigkeit the plot. All in all, therefore remains a sequence which is located at the lower edge of the average and their schematic character can not be compensated by the usual charm of the series. It is hoped that the makers of the series give the mixed response to their latest product compliance and invest in the coming episodes, so are they in planning, a little more ingenuity, attention to detail and understanding of the strengths of their series.
