Customer Review

A beautiful book "The Journal of Spandau" Albert Speer.
Severely condemned the trial of Nuremberg to twenty years imprisonment in the fortress of Spandau, Albert Speer, Minister of Armament, an architect by training, will try to survive for twenty years in total isolation.
During his captivity he is forbidden to communicate with the outside, to write, to be visited by his family, so the only easing his detention will work gardening in the courtyard of the fortress and an hour of daily exercise with 6 other convicts who do not accept it as one of them. (Konstantin von Neurath, Erich Raeder, Karl Doenitz, Walther Funk, Baldur von Schirach, Rudolf Hess)
While pondering his relationship with Hitler and its share of responsibility as Minister of Armaments, Albert Speer will undertake, secretly writing a daily journal on sheets of toilet paper he will succeed in squeeze out.
It will also undertake a tour of the world walk in the courtyard of the fortress to physically force him to live ...
The reader is like a laboratory researcher who observes the behavior of an animal trapped in a cage.
It is not about passing judgment on Nazism, A. Speer can not be compared to Goering, Himmler, Goebbels and other Nazi, but to discover the human testimony of the Journal of Spandau: how the mind of a man, who had the power, and his survival instincts work they face a bottomless fall.
