Since I wanted to also print plastic labels, I bought this device.
But due to various shortcomings, I am very unhappy.
1. The first few prints were flawed because letters were partly only half printed. So I cleaned the LW and after that had a better result. Half a meter expensive label tape later, everything went without problems.
2. The unit can not be operated without a battery. As long as the battery is full, that's no problem. But since he has already been discharged completely after a week, although the LW was turned off, you can not just quickly print labels, but gets the message that the battery is too low to print, and you must charge it, even if the LW about the USB port has power.
3. The LabelWriter wasted expensive plastic tape without end. Before and after each printing stop 5mm respectively. So these are pressure per 1cm Band length that is wasted. Just for clarification. The pressure of 10 labels that were each 50 mm are needed not only 500mm tape, but 600mm.
4. The lack of software (for Mac) does the rest, to a mess the "Print experience" entirely. Sometimes, it depends on, but not later than when talking about the label Light- the label software starts and then a working directory is also created equal in the Mac Documents folder, which has absolutely nothing to look for there. Even if you change the location and delete the folder, it will appear repeatedly. For some that may be no problem if this circumstance -like me- in leads that triggered a backup and the files copied to equal an external hard drive and example, with laptop, smartphone and NAS are synchronized, the annoying huge.
Conclusion:
The LabelWriter is verabeitet quality and works very well as long as the battery is full. However, he wasted too much expensive plastic band and the bad software interferes enormously.
EDIT: Now it really enough for me ... After updating the software, the printer can no longer use. Message: bandwidth is: 19mm bandwidth: 19mm
If one is simply too stupid for Dymo to provide a software that makes it possible to use a product, then I have to advise against the purchase.
