Batman in space !!!

"LEGO Batman 3 - Beyond Gotham" is the 17th licensed LEGO videogame of TT Games and the third with the popular DC Super Heroes.
As the dark avenger fails with his colleagues and if this game is different from the other LEGO video games, we will analyze in this review.

Story:
The story starts in space, where the leaders of the various Lantern Corps (except Green Lantern) meet and fight each other, without knowing why they are placed at the same location. You will find out that the android Brainiac is behind it and it captures.
Meanwhile chasing Batman & Robin the villains Killer Croc through the sewers of Gotham. This escapes and flees with other supervillains, including Joker and Lex Luthor.
Subsequently, the group enters the hall of justice and go through the teleporter to go to the Watchtower in space. As in the 2nd part of Lex Luthor tries to manipulate the earth's inhabitants to make himself president. The members of the Justice League to follow in order to stop them. Both parties will work together but thus itself objectives of Brainiac and have to stop him. Although you can release the Lanterns, but must stop Brainiac, shrinking cities in the world.
Overall, the main story has 15 levels, all of which are quite extensive and individually per se.
Tip: Skips not the guy. It is worth it.

Characters:
In total there are in LEGO Batman 3 150 different characters. It automatically switches freely during the story, collects them in the open world or outdoor play. Many of the characters have different characteristics and suits.
Five characters (Batman, Robin, Cyborg, Joker and Lex Luthor) can switch between 8 different suits, each of which has different characteristics. For example, Batman and Robin and Cyborg blow silver objects and Joker can brighten dark rooms with their light suit.
For the other characters, the developers of comic books, TV series and films have oriented. So not only well-known figures, such as the Riddler, Catwoman, Flash and Wonder Woman are playable, but also rather unknown how Mr.Mxyzptlk or Bat-Cow (!) Unlockable.
Personally, I'm begeitert on the number of playable characters, but wonder why it still have just made such a little-known characters in the game, but popular characters like Scarecrow, Two-Face and Clayface are only in DLCs or not at all in the game. No Matter.
A novelty is that the BigFigs, known to from LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, fly. So does the exploring both small and large characters fun.

Open World:
Many fans had hoped that there will be an open world Gotham City improved. What TT Games has created but instead, to be proud of.
The open world consists of the Watchtower, which consists of six different rooms, the Batcave, the hall of justice, the Hall of Doom, the lunar base and seven-Lantern planet.
The planets are completely accessible and because there is no gravity, you can go nicely around the ball.
So overall a lot of space. to explore much.

Gameplay:
Playful can also play this game in principle the same way as its predecessor. Each button has a different function, you have to do. There, as in Part 2, a dynamic split screen for two players in the open world.
Of course you can almost destroy the entire game world into its component parts and thus zusammeln Studs.
Significant bugs are not noticed by the play, but there are places where the camera makes the game more difficult involuntarily.

Sound & Graphics:
The music in LEGO Batman 3 is awesome. In addition to original compositions, one has served on licensed music. As always, the well-known pieces of music by Danny Elfman from the two Batman_Filmen of Tim Burton are. If Superman and Wonder Woman flying sounded the theme songs from old movies (Superman) and the old TV series (Wonder Woman). And if that were not all, you can hear also still the Batman theme song from the TV series
from 1966, but more on that later. The voices are in part the same from the 2nd part and in itself was fine although sin still recommended the angelic voices more.
The Level and worlds seen graphically very good. Mainly in the Lantern planet you can see that the developers have done the work, on its way to make each planet individually.

Bonus Level + VR missions:
What is important to highlight 3 in LEGO Batman, is the bonus level. As the bat in 2014 its 75th birthday celebrating, there is a gift, a bonus level, which brings all the fans of the TV series from 1966 to her eyes glow. Peppered with dozens of allusions and characters and of course with the humorous sound effect inserts, makes the level a lot of fun. And who would not always play Adam West and Burt Ward in her signature roles?
The VR missions are playable in The Watchtower or in the Batcave. There are missions by has to cope with different tasks on time as a character. In the missions you can even popular video game classics like Snake or Pac-Man games. Taken together, these missions are varied, making a lot of fun and are partly also quite heavy.

Conclusion:
Although LEGO Batman 3 is now not really something completely new, but makes the basis of the number of characters, humorous dialogues and many allusions a lot of fun. The open world has many side missions, which are the freedom to explore the world and also other features like the VR missions or tinkering with their own characters are extensive.
Only criticism, which I would deduct half a star, would the story because they already from level 7 is almost over and you choice what level you visit now.
Since there are not 4.5 star, I round up and forgive 5 stars for a successful LEGO game and I am convinced that the next LEGO game will be a great success.
