April 3, 2015 / Addendum:
After completion of the major updates of OS 10.2.xxx on 10.3.xxx I have now found that the quality of Updates has yet achieved different results in the BB devices. I can only compare the Z-30 Update with the Z-10 update, because I have both devices. When Z-10 I'm very disappointed because the colors - largely faded since the previous display luminosity - in my opinion. Apparently you have here the software adapted to a better battery has come out, but the brilliance is reduced from the display. In any case no longer like with the display of Z-10 now. I do not use the device now.
Something like that has at BB then already made it to the Q-10, to give the phone a better battery reduced to the transmitting / receiving strength at Q-10 in the UMTS field, because there, how then later in tests turned out (Connect and computer image), the Q-10 was particularly weak in the UMTS band.
Now back to the Z-30: Here I am thrilled to have the colors -in my opinion- demand gained considerable brilliance, the software and apps run impeccably, quickly and without stuttering. Although there are still noticing when calling an app delays of seconds, but I can neglect.
Short and to the point: the Z-30 has powerful benefits from the update 10.3.xxx, but the Z-10 is now disappointing.

Today I want to make an addendum shortly on the arrangement of microphones and loudspeakers at Z30, because I notice some reviews that these details are not entirely clear, but are important for communication (fe. Phone). For this is precisely the strength of this smartphone, because the emphasis is placed on transceiver quality and acoustics.
So:
There are 4 microphones in the Z30, including 2 pcs. under the volume rocker on the right (Noise Cancelling). 1 microphone is almost invisible at the bottom center on the edge of the display. And 1 microphone as combi part up above the display. Combined partly because here also a speaker is integrated. The microphones afford so-called composite work.
Therefore:
An impairment in microphone / speaker is virtually impossible, although this is often claimed by people (too low etc ...). But it may be that the finest dust particles are penetrated, or worse, the Z30 is fallen down. Because this could have damaged the main microphone under the display. A repair is then due (display must be removed).
The two main speakers (stereo) are located at the bottom of the Z30 back, and be up on the front above the display complemented by a loudspeaker in conjunction with a microphone. The stereo speakers are each 1 watt of power.
So overall:
4 Microphones
3 speakers
