Customer Review

"Overexposed" is the 4th album by the band Maroon 5. However, it is also the first album of theirs that I bought. Only through the title of "Moves Like Jagger" which was indeed down played by the radio stations up and last summer, I became a fan of the group. Their music is fun and creates a good mood. The new album is a good set of faster and more quieter songs with great rhythms.

1. One More Night: 9.5 / 10
The opener is one of the highlights of the album. Not too fast, but not too slow. Just a cool number with hit potential. Not for nothing is selected as the second single.

2. Payphone: 8/10
The first single. Unfortunately, not quite my cup of tea. The verses are (melodically and lyrically) very well done, but that bothers me a bit of the chorus. I do not know why either. Nevertheless definitely not a bad title! You can see that even at the chart positions.

3. Daylight: 9/10
Similar to "Payphone", just a bit slower. But I like it much better. Here both the verses, and the chorus have become really good. Might be a single release? But please only after ...

4. Lucky Strike: 10/10
... Because that is the absolute highlight of the album, currently even my favorite song. A larger catchy I can not find on the album really ... Even the first chords pack a. These then go on in the brilliant first verse. Suddenly silence. And then bursts in the refrain, in which one gets immediately bombastic good mood. If the times do not the next single is ... Definitely full marks!

5. The Man Who Never Lied: 7.5 / 10
Definitely a nice title! If, however, after repeated listening unfortunately somewhat dull. At least the chorus. On the verses again there is nothing wrong. Especially you have to highlight the text here.

6. Love Somebody: 8.5 / 10
Now it's back uphill. The number has also chart potential! A great mix of sensual text and tranquil melody, and some dance parts, especially in the chorus. Nice number!

7. Ladykiller: 7/10
A soft number that goes easily into the ear ... and easy to get out again. But while listening to the beautiful melody slinks in his ear and remains there for the time being. After listening to the title, unfortunately there is nothing left hanging.

8. Fortune Teller: 2/10
The low point of "Overexposed". It sounds a bit like a mix of "Payphone", "The Man Who Never Lied", "Love Somebody" and "Ladykiller" - practically half the previously heard. While the verses sound initially interesting, but nerves after a while. Conclusion: this track I skip virtually every time.

9. Sad: 10/10
The first real acoustic ballad, accompanied only by the piano. I've read some rather negative comments about the song and can not understand this. The verses are quiet and actually terminate an on rushing to refrain. But this is not so. A simple four-fold "(So) Sad" already constitute the entire chorus. Initially actually rather surprising, but it is really nice after repeated listening. For me a clear catchy.

10. Tickets: 9/10
A really crazy number :-) Must Hear and form their own opinion. One like it, the other not. I like it :-)

11. Doin 'Dirt: 6.5 / 10
The verses are good ... if they had not just almost completely taken over by "I Was Made For Lovin 'You" by Kiss. The chorus (and especially the bridge!) Are fast and danceable. So to be a really good number ... if it were not partially stolen.

12. Beautiful Goodbye: 9/10
Quiet and gechillter final title (without "Moves Like Jagger"). He invites you to think again about the title belonged and to think about which title you (not) want to hear again next time definitely ;-)

And the bonus track "Moves Like Jagger" I probably need say no more than ABSOULUTER EARWIG !! 10/10

CONCLUSION: With 106/130 points definitely a really good album from Maroon 5. There are just some absolute earwigs, some quiet and chilled out songs and some that next time certainly skips ... Overall, this is only a matter of taste.

Thus: Fully deserved 4 stars! (And buy recommendation!)
