in older white or black original controllers one has practically "simple" plastic in his hands. The silver coated on the other hand feels. In this "Limited Edition", the material is quite handy. The Halo controller (Xbox 360 Halo Reach Branded Controller) is indeed silver, however, are the two different surfaces. The Halo controller does not feel quite as "velvety" to - so little rougher. I like both silver surfaces.
The buttons (back xyab start):
With the new controller, the abxy keys are not colorful. They are decorated in gray / transparent. The X on the key can not read very well be. I like the new look. Clear - who needs the colors of buttons, can then do anything with this controller. The start and the Back button are gray and fit well to the overall appearance. I find the new controller very pretty.
To Play & Charge Kit:
For this, I can not write anything from our own experience. I have not tried it. It is the black kit. The internet address of some reports that this was better than the older white Play & Charge Kit.
Battery Operation:
When controller is still the holder for AA batteries (or batteries). I use with Ansmann batteries (NiMH Ansmann maxE + AA battery Battery (2500 mAh) 4-it orange blisters or maxE Ansmann NiMH Mignon AA 2100 mAh 4-pack). I could not find that the batteries last longer or shorter than when operating in the other Xbox 360 controllers.
Trigger, Bumper:
The buttons on the front RB, RT, LB, LT are black and feel exactly like in older models.
Thumbsticks:
The right and the left stick is not in black like the Halo controller but in gray. When Halo controllers are on top of the stick four small points - so you can feel the four directions (north, south, east, west). These small "feeler points" there is no longer on the new Silberen controller. However, the small shaped ring, which is located on top of the stick is minimal slightly, thereby offering a "hand grip". I think that's better.
Rotating pad:
It is actually the highlight is - if you go after the advertisement. The new Cross (now silver) really feels better. The buckle is shaped differently and thus a bit grippy.
With a quarter-turn descends down to the cross itself from everything and and the spaces are free. In the games that I have gedaddelt it, I just needed a job. So I did it once turned around a quarter turn and then I was able to leave unchallenged.
I think it sounds a little bit louder than on the older models. This is not much and also does not bother - especially if you play loud Shooter.
Service:
With me squealed the right stick. When I pressed the thumb stick to the right and he went back to the starting position, then was a clearly audible squeak to be heard. I mean that I have read in any forum or in a recession that another user had the same problem.
After a courtesy call at the Xbox Hotline (as always there were very nice) I was the controller for free to send in (pick-up or drop off at UPS). However, I had to wait a few days with one chicken, because the service did not have a replacement controller. The of the Hotline for giving me know when I can return the part. After I had delivered the packet to the controller at UPS, it took a few days until I got a brand new replacement controller. The non quitscht.
So overall: for me so far the best and hübschte Xbox 360 Controller
(The controller of Razor I have not yet had in his fingers)
