Diane Saddlers had the good idea to reissue print titles of his "great collection" from "The Little Collection". The print quality is maintained and there, thanks to its small size, maneuverability is increased relative to the edition in "Great Collection". While bound and unbound it should be noted the difference in price between the two editions (+/- 50 to 210 +/- small collection for the large collection), this opens the world of Diana Saddlers to édititrice more people. Regarding the content: Spilliaert's works, Rops, Enckell, Moreau, Kubin, Goya, Rodin, Munch, and many others are raising the Baudelaire text. It is a remarkable work of research that has to find the right imagery to illustrate the words of Baudelaire. The selected paintings are atmophere, some little known and other essential (like the pornocrate Rops). I must prefer the great edition because the object is beautiful but small publishing more affordable, can be transported more easily and read it anywhere. A wonderful book for lovers of sympbolisme and / or Baudelaire. Note that out soon, in the same collection, the new edition of Faust illustrated by the drawings of Eugene Delacroix.
