Beautiful electric fireplace but only conditionally recommended!

Bought directly offered by this electric fireplace. Have to admit, very nice, atmospheric and real images of flame effect, which is not visible on the product images so. Very good I also find that you can use without heating the fireplace as decoration also. The heat settings 600 W and 1200 W (2x 600 W via two switches) can turn on you and the heat (built-in fan with heating coils) is enough for medium-sized rooms up to 16 square meters of.

What has me nevertheless moved only 3 star rating is:

Says the description of metal casing is not quite right, made of sheet steel are just the top cover, the side panels and the Frontramen, everything else is made of cheaper plastic Joghurtbecher- what one smells, just made in China.

In lieu of a ceramic heating element heating coils for this fireplace would be more appropriate.

For sensitive noses this electric fireplace is hardly to be recommended, even if the smell wears off after a few hours of operation.

A BUY recommendation I can not give directly, must halt any choice is yours!

The built-in halogen lamp G 9/25 W does not last long, has blown after about 50 hours of operation. As a replacement (a little more expensive, just under 8 euros) I have an LED pin base lamp G 9/5 installed W (380 lumens), is much more economical, just only 5 W and to maintain 10,000 hours according to the supplier about, I let myself surprise !?
