This figure has but even promised me: It does not work cheesy, not cluttered and has nevertheless - or perhaps because of - a very special expression, which can be found also in the other figures: The figures are certainly suitable for collecting - when something ;-) like, in any case should the recognition be very high.
The material from which the figure is resin, (Engl. "Resin"), but the look is reminiscent of wood. From afar it looks actually so, but on closer inspection I had rather the association with soapstone. Taking the figure in the hand, feels, unlike wood, not warm, but cool as stone itself.
Amazingly, the figure is also quite heavy, so stable and is good.
The figure looks the same as in the example image, even on closer inspection have little or no deviations from it can be seen, even at the fine detail not.
From what you have to say goodbye, is the idea that every single piece is lovingly worked by the American artist herself. Only the raw form makes the artist, this will then be sent with appropriate guidance to China. All figures are then cast there (that are not hand-carved!), But then at least handpainted.
This can also be seen by a befindlichem on the bottom label "Made in China" and the procedure is also on the American homepage so communicating - even if you have something to look for it and this fact is not prominently.
Considered quite objectively, it is total but then mass production. But I think it's relatively expensive.
The packaging is very good. The carton is "verschenktauglich" and the figure itself is initially in a plastic sheet and then covered in a styrofoam form that is precisely tailored to the figure and the top two "engagement troughs" for better removal has.
Overall, the figure is worked beautifully and I am convinced that the recipient will be happy about it very much.
