Part of the book is indeed devoted to the child's environment and those who have already read books on Maria Montessori (like "Awakening, flourish, encourage the child: The Montessori home" Tim Seldin) have a sense of déjà vu, but there was also a whole lot of other original things I did not find in other practical books on the subject.
There is for example the presentation of all mobile inspired by the Montessori spirit with age and usage patterns of explanations to make them yourself. I would have liked to have that information to the birth of my daughter when I discovered the Montessori universe but all books focused on the following 2-3 years.
There is also an entire section on the presentation of specific equipment, such as permanently boxes of the object: I did not know how to present this activity to so few, so now !!
The book also goes for the many photos illustrating the Montessori spirit, which are well worth a thousand words.
I still regret the lack of explanation of some activities, some of these pictures (the first puzzle for instance) and texts that I sometimes found a little short, we really want to know more (more more) !!
The selection of books for toddlers at the end of the book is interesting, but many of them are exhausted and took to sell gold online, damage.
The book's photographer has a site on the Nido (venue of toddlers according to Montessori pedagogy) which is very interesting and equally filled with his wonderful pictures !!
