There are now a plethora of groups in trip hop, but no offense to some if Portishead is most known it is certainly no coincidence. Although there are other beads in the genre, this album and the live Roseland are true masterpiece in this area. Yes it is soft and slow, but it is a quiet, a fullness of unparalleled emotion. The trip hop takes on its meaning, perfect fusion of ectro and acoustics, it gives chills. Listen on the gear capable of reproducing and sublimate this monument, attention is by far far away ... And to close, "Canada bonus track" attached to the last bit is just the icing on the cake.
