Harry Potter and the half blood prince is finally here !! Read in one evening should be eaten even better ... Because yes, the book reads smoothly in one go, and keeps a certain rhythm to lead us to a particularly hallucinatory end of 100 pages. The problem, though, is right there. What has happened to JK Rowling ?? Would she lost her talent? Please note I am not speaking of the story itself, which is conducted smoothly ... I speak stupidly of grammar ... !!! JKR's writing has changed, or there was above all shots and bursts strong structure, we now have a general writing rather strong but poorly edited and with sometimes so obvious redundancies that I was wondering if it was read back !!! Of course this does not concern the whole book, but some passages are enough to raise questions, however ... After passing this initial shock a little disappointing, I must admit that the rather quiet side of this volume has something attractive. Obviously JKR preferred to book a transition to lead us to the final volume, and this involves less action, and more discussion and data on characters, each of the past or the future of others, etc. ..On loses magic in what we gain in depth character development, things that fans of the first books that have already read this sequel were immediately started criticizing. Actually all is not always well led ... JK Rowling has integrated much more romance than in previous books, although it also goes with children becoming adults, at times it is a bit too much. There is not enough action to compensate for this sudden excess of feeling, and it weakens fanchement the plot of the story ... Similarly, the first 100 pages, and the last 100 are those that contain the most revelations and important events, while the "middle" of the book is going to Hogwart course seems to have lost its exoticism: we are no longer in the childhood magic of the first volumes. That said, I really enjoyed what happened to the character of Harry. While living a little doubtful transitions between books 4, 5 and 6 (young assistant gifted sorcerer Voldemort's rebirth - hysterical teenager annoying for everything - presqu'adulte responsible and rather wise), I hate to see in the end that looks very ambiguous. It is also surrounded by characters that evolve significantly, the most important for me is almost Ginny who are given a bit of cloth than usual and a maturity that suits him. We learn a little more about Voldemort, after all one of the pillars of history, and the mystery remains complete when namely the outcome of the battle who oppose Harry. Without revealing anything, one of the characters presents a complete turnaround, which ultimately is not worse and rather shocking key event awaits the fans in the back pages. In the end, without really telling all, I will say that I have enjoyed reading this new volume. Without being the best of the series, it nonetheless provides something subtle to the whole of history, and without really explain it to me, despite the weaknesses of the writing, I enjoyed it. JK Rowling is not perfect, maybe a little succees allow its own, but a master of his universe, this is ultimately the most important;). No masterpiece was expected, but a good time anyway, because do not forget, this is still a book for children !!!
