By upgrading my receiver of 5.1 in a 7.2 with presense speakers I swapped both the center and the front speakers. Until then, I thought my JBL 1extreme were good, but the JBL ES30 alone and also in combination with the JBL ES25C're absolutely outrageous. I was clear from the outset that the upgrade is not directly audible very well but be perceptible to 40kHz, but the difference is so extreme, I never would have imagined. The space now achieved already in the normal stereo, the transmission of speech are absolutely outrageous. Finally, the language comes completely out of the center and there is no shortage half. I test in the meantime, and despite changes in the system like with pretty crisp sounds - among other things, the staccato Vol 1. Here a fly in a thunderstorm not the beads around the ears, but rather the eardrums of same.. The clapping strings of the double bass, the Untertoene at Bösendorfer, the harmonics at the saxophone - all so close, so directly. Even the breathing of the artist comes out quite clearly. And that comes not only from the amplifier, as the Speaker, I have retrofitted. Unguestigerweise are both the ES30 and the ES25C in Regalboeden and there a lot close to the back wall, so that I could with their rear bass reflex opening to the bass do not test, but this must come from a subwoofer, but bookshelf speakers should not act so low anyway ,
Highly recommended. And also design technically a clear upgrade to the previous heco. It was absolutely the right decision to replace Front + Center on comparable systems. The entire frequency range is now so nice and clean from a front. Unfortunately, I find myself now increasingly at the thought of the presense + rears exchange (every four JBL 1extreme) against JBJ ES20, but nor can I control myself :-)
