Joel Backman, The Broker, is a lawyer whose specialty is lobbying MPs in Washington. It is a rich and powerful man until he tries to chew too big piece for him trying to sell to the highest bidder the secrets of a network of spy satellites. He eventually finds refuge in a prison. Disgraced, ruined, a traitor to his nation waits anxiously for his release. This comes earlier than expected because the CIA wants to use as bait and made free by the bais of a presidential pardon. He then secretly sent to Italy where he will have to try to adapt before the CIA filter leaves some information to potential assassins. Begins stalking. Frankly bad. Nothing is really credible nor the character, or the circumstances. This is actually a novel food dedicated to Italy and to Italian and they are the only truly believable characters of the case.
