Bernie has been better ...

I had to create the impression that the author has this novel in a big hurry.
I miss the familiar brilliance of people sketches that profound Bernie thought -
and a credible leading-lady. Large parts of the novel are schablonesk.
Prague is my atmospherically not lively enough.
The Nazi thugs, many, many, and hard to distinguish without views into glossary, are dramatic not as well built as usual.
Will I be a fan of Bernie and of Kerr, but there are better BG Novels than this.
